I watched this movie last night on opening night in Sydney. I am a huge
fan of the to series and have seen every episode. I think that if you
know all the characters from the show you will absolutely love this
movie. It rewards the fans with lots of inside jokes and appearances by
so many of the actors who were in the show. Not just the main actors
who are always great but a lot of actors who were only in a few
episodes like Gary Busy, Bob Saget, Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Alba and Tom
Brady.
Drama is great especially when he is auditioning for a part in a TV
show. Ari is his usual angry self and has therapy sessions and battles
to make things happen for Vince's movie. Vince seems like he is taking
himself a bit more seriously now he is a director. E's about to become
a dad with Sloan and Turtles has his usual funny jokes. There are
cameos from Dana Gordon and Billy Walsh and the publicist who is always
funny when she rips into Johny Drama who is always the butt of her
jokes.
The movie gives a bigger budget so the scenes make the Hollywood life
style seem bigger than the TV show with parties on luxury boats,
ridiculous houses with pool parties and some amazing sports cars. It
feels like a bit of a trip of being in the super rich Jetset life
style.
i wish the film success so I can watch the sequel. For the critics that
bag this movie it is unfortunate you don't get it, I doubt you have
seen the show or maybe you just picked the wrong movie for you.
