Storyline Young-goo (Hyung-rae Sim) the son of mafia boss Don Carini (Harvey Keitel), is too foolish to be part of the mafia elite. One day, Young-goo comes to his father and is trained by Tony V (Michael Rispoli) to be his father's successor. A few days later, Young-goo accidentally rescues Nancy (Jocelin Donahue), the only daughter of Don Bonfante, the boss of a rival mafia family. But Vinnie (Jason Mewes), an under-boss of the Bonfante family kidnapped her and fabricates that Young-goo has taken her. Vinnie's behavior provokes an armed conflict between the two families.

Play on nationalism.

This movie will only have limited success because of Hyung-rae Shim's
play on nationalism. He has used this tactic before with his movie
D-war -- which I've heard is also terrible.
His tactic is simple: he tells Koreans that they must be proud of their
country and the Korean film industry. Therefore, they must show pride
in Korean movies. Therefore, they must watch Korean movies, regardless
of their quality -- especially his movies.
The result: his terrible movies are watched by many Koreans and seen as
a success for Korea in the world market. Further, Koreans who criticize
Hyung-rae Shim's movies have been slandered continuously on the
Internet.
I saw this movie as a test to see if it was as disgraceful as some have
said... it was. Koreans need to realize that by supporting bad Korean
movies, they are actually hurting the image of Korea worldwide, not
improving it.
